The terms that apply when you use our website and buy from Saffron Rug Co. Last updated: 10 October 2026.
1. Overview
These Terms of Service set out your rights and obligations when you use saffronrugco.com and buy from Saffron Rug Co. ("we", "us", "our"). They apply to the website, our products and any promotions, and are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
2. Acceptance of terms
By using this website or placing an order, you accept these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the website or place an order.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or otherwise legally able to enter into a contract in Australia, to place an order. Anyone under 18 needs the consent of a parent or guardian.
4. Accounts
Some features may require an account. You agree to provide accurate information and you are responsible for keeping your login details secure.
5. Product information and availability
We aim to describe and photograph our rugs accurately, including their colours and sizes. Our rugs are Persian-style designs, machine-made and printed onto a low polyester pile; they are not hand-knotted or made in Iran. Colours may look slightly different depending on your screen, and measurements may vary by 2–4 cm. All products are subject to availability. If we make an error in a description or a price, we will contact you before processing your order.
6. Ordering
A binding contract is formed when you receive our order confirmation email. You agree to provide accurate billing and delivery details.
7. Pricing and payment
Prices are in Australian dollars and include any applicable taxes. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, which may include major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay. Payments are processed securely by Shopify, and orders are processed once payment has cleared. See our Payment Policy.
8. Shipping and delivery
We deliver within Australia only. Shipping is free on every order. Processing time: 1–4 business days. Transit time: 2–10 business days. Total delivery time: 3–14 business days (Mon–Fri), with tracking. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.
9. Returns and refunds
You can return a rug within 30 days of delivery, including for a change of mind, provided it has never been used and is in as-new condition, in its original packaging. Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is paid by the customer. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items are replaced or refunded at no cost to you. Refunds are processed within 5 business days of receiving the returned rug. Returns must follow our RMA process. Full details are in our Return & Refund Policy.
10. Cancellations
You can cancel an order within 12 hours of placing it, as long as it hasn't been dispatched. Dispatched orders can't be cancelled but can be returned under our Return & Refund Policy. See our Cancellation Policy.
11. Intellectual property
All content on this website, including the logo, text, images and videos, belongs to Saffron Rug Co. or its licensors. You may not copy, modify or distribute it without our written permission.
12. User conduct
You agree not to hack or disrupt the website, introduce malware, misuse other people's information, harass others, commit fraud or infringe intellectual property. We may suspend access or take legal action in response to any breach.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for delays or interruptions outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
14. Indemnity
You agree to compensate us for losses and claims arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the website or your unauthorised use of our content.
15. Third-party links
The website may link to other websites. We aren't responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
16. Privacy
We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, and any dispute will be resolved in the courts of New South Wales.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. Changes take effect when they are published on this website.
19. Termination
We may suspend or end your access to the website if you breach these terms or act unlawfully. This doesn't affect rights or obligations that already exist.
